<dc:description>This Working Paper sets out to assess the impact of NGOs in poverty-alleviating programmes in Zimbabwe. It first contextualizes historically four case study evaluations of NGO projects in Zimbabwe, then presents the results of these evaluations (the Silveira House farmer credit group scheme, the Christian Care Mzarabani Farmer Credit Project, the Simukai collective farming co-operative, and the Campfire Project in Dande communal land). It concludes with assessing the wider significance of these case studies.</dc:description>
