<dc:description>This review aims to give the latest developments in knowledge and techniques in seed provision during and after emergencies, looking at what constitutes 'good practice' in this field. It distinguishes between emergency seed provision (ESP) - considering a variety of issues such as pre-planning, seed type, source and quality, targeting recipients, distribution and logistics, etc. - and longer-term seed capacity-building activities such as increasing local seed availability, production and distribution capacity. Seed distribution is discussed in three scenarios: armed conflict, natural disaster, and resettlement.</dc:description>
