<dc:description>This document is a USAID/OFDA 'After-Action Report' for the 'Ethiopia-Eritrea Complex Emergency from May 2000 through September 2000'. On June 13 and 14, 2001, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) convened an After-Action workshop to look at the deployment and functioning of its Disaster Assistance Response Teams (DARTs) which coordinated on-the-ground assessments and the delivery of U.S. Government (USG) assistance, and the 'Horn of Africa Team' (HAT), charged with coordinating the overall USG response... The purpose for the after-action workshop was to bring together key individuals within USAID who actively participated in the response to the Ethiopia-Eritrea complex emergency, to review the specific OFDA actions and make recommendations to improve future OFDA operational activities.</dc:description>
