The Algerian crisis: not over yet Forced Migration Online (24276783) Migration, asylum and refugee law FORCED MIGRATION ONLINE VIOLENCE GOVERNMENT POLICY ISLAM INTERNATIONAL ASSISTANCE POLITICAL CHANGE EUROPEAN UNION ARMED FORCES This report looks at the rise in violence in Algeria after the events of 1999, noting the failure to address the fundamental issues which caused it: the need to fundamentally restructure and relegitimize the Algerian state, accept the failure of the strategy of eradication of the Islamists and open up the political process.
