<dc:description>This report discusses issues surrounding migrants arriving illegally to Spain's Canary Islands. They face appalling treatment both prior and during detention. Detainees including asylum seekers have no access to legal counsel, or private lawyers. The authors of this report also highlight that the absence of adequate medical services and basic sanitation facilities for detainees, are only some of the ways in which their human rights are violated in the Islands.</dc:description>
