<dc:description>This paper uses Ghana Living Standards Survey (GLSS) data to examine welfare outcomes of migrant households in the 1990s. It questions the continuing effectiveness of traditional self-improvement or coping strategies such as migration in the face of the economic reform that is being undertaken in Ghana. It provides descriptive evidence on migrants and regression analysis of welfare outcomes (household consumption expenditure, poverty incidence and primary school attendance rates).</dc:description>
