The politics of anti deportation campaigning: A contentious social movement in Sheffield Forced Migration Online (24276783) Migration, asylum and refugee law FORCED MIGRATION ONLINE DEPORTATION REFUGEE/LOCAL COMMUNITY RELATIONS DEMONSTRATIONS PROTEST This paper argues that, from the point of view of Sheffield in the UK, the development of a significant social movement around anti-deportation campaigning can be seen to be a response to the social and political effects of the 1993 Asylum Appeals and Immigration Act, the 1996 Asylum and Immigration Act and the 1999 Immigration and Asylum Act.
