<dc:description>
This record contains the de-identified behavioural data and the analysis code supporting the study "Reachability judgments in upper-limb segmentary exclusion syndrome explore action-related aspects of peripersonal space" (Herbé et al.).

The study investigates action-related aspects of peripersonal space in upper-limb segmentary exclusion syndrome (UL-SES), a condition characterised by persistent underuse of a limb segment without an identifiable neurological lesion, in comparison with healthy participants. Peripersonal space was probed indirectly with a reachability-judgment (RJ) task adapted from Gouzien et al. (2017): seated and without moving, participants judged whether visually presented targets were reachable. Twenty-five target positions spanning the objective reachable limit were each repeated five times per side (125 trials per side). The main outcome is the RJ-error, the perceived maximum reachable distance relative to the objective maximum reachable distance, expressed as a percentage; a positive value indicates overestimation of the reachable space.

The record includes the raw experimental logs (one file per participant and side), the reconstructed trial-level dataset (one row per trial), the per-participant aggregate results, the original MATLAB processing scripts, an R script for the mixed-effects and aggregate analyses, and a Python script for the sensitivity and robustness analyses, together with a documentation README and a checksum manifest.

Fifteen UL-SES and thirty healthy participants were analysed. Trial-level data are provided for 42 of them; for three participants the raw experimental logs could not be recovered, so only their aggregate values are reported. Participant coverage is documented in full in the README. The processed data were reconstructed directly from the raw logs, which are the authoritative source, and the reconstruction reproduces the original individual RJ values to within 0.02%.

The study was approved by the Comité de Protection des Personnes Île-de-France VIII (CPP 21.06.57; ID-RCB 2021-A01432-39) and conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki; all participants gave informed consent. All data are de-identified: participants are designated by a numeric code only, and the code-to-identity key is not part of this record.
</dc:description>
