<dc:description>
This repository contains the extended data for the LUMANA validation study, including the complete suite of data collection instruments, a completed SRQR checklist, a README file, and a comprehensive data dictionary.

The instruments are provided to enhance transparency, facilitate reproducibility, and support researchers, implementers, and developers working on culturally adapted artificial intelligence (AI) systems for mental health screening in fragile settings in interpreting and potentially reusing the study methods.

The instruments include: the participant consent and safeguarding form used to document informed consent and eligibility; the trust and acceptability reflection instrument used to capture participants' perceptions; the AI output safety assessment; the Hausa idioms of distress mapping instrument developed to assess recognition and interpretation of culturally specific expressions of psychological distress; and the human–AI workflow observation instrument used to evaluate how the AI system integrates into routine clinical decision-making processes.

The supplementary material includes a completed Standards for Reporting Qualitative Research (SRQR) checklist. This 21-item checklist systematically maps the LUMANA manuscript against established qualitative reporting guidelines. It covers key domains including study design, researcher positioning and reflexivity, sampling and recruitment strategies, data collection and analysis procedures, ethical safeguards, trustworthiness strategies, and interpretation of findings. The checklist serves as a transparency tool for reviewers, editors, and readers to independently assess the methodological rigor and completeness of the qualitative evaluation.

Additionally, this deposit contains a README file providing contextual and navigational guidance for the repository contents and a data dictionary that defines all variables across the instruments, ensuring clear interpretation of the study's operational framework.

</dc:description>
