<dc:description><p dir="ltr">De-identified, record-level dataset for a retrospective, record-based study of all 330 hospitalisations on the dedicated infectious diseases (isolation) ward of Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, Yola, Adamawa State, north-eastern Nigeria, from 1 January 2020 to 31 May 2026. Variables: date and year of hospitalisation, sex, age (years, conventional bands and mortality strata), diagnostic group (COVID-19; diphtheria; Lassa fever or other viral haemorrhagic fever; mpox; other), laboratory result as recorded in the ward logbook, ward outcome, death indicator, length of stay, and the verbatim working diagnosis. No names, addresses or other direct identifiers are included. Headline figures: 205 of 330 patients (62.1%) were male; median age 40 years (IQR 20–58). COVID-19 accounted for 189 hospitalisations, diphtheria 61, Lassa fever or other viral haemorrhagic fever 54, mpox 15 and other conditions 11. Among 268 patients with a determinate outcome, 90 died (case fatality 33.6%). Files: Isolation_Ward_Dataset.xlsx (sheets Data, Codebook, Summary, Changes_since_v2); Supplementary_Material.docx (Tables S1–S5); Figures S1–S4; README.txt. Version 3 (September 2026) replaces the Version 2 files: the superseded CSV, which predated the correction of transposed dates, is withdrawn; five coding corrections are applied; and the supplementary tables and figures are regenerated from the corrected dataset. Analyses use multivariable logistic regression. See README.txt for details. Ethics: Health Research Ethics Committee, Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, Yola (MAUTHYOLA/HREC/26/437); individual consent waived for routinely collected, de-identified records.</p></dc:description>
