<dc:description>

This doctoral research explores the academic experiences ofChinese elementary school students through a mixed-methods design, focusing onthree interrelated dimensions: academic emotions, teacher self-efficacy, andfamily involvement. Drawing on psychological and sociocultural frameworks, thestudy aims to better understand how emotional, instructional, and familialfactors jointly shape student learning in a high-stakes educational context.Data were collected through surveys, student drawing analysis, and interviews,offering a multi-layered perspective on the dynamics of student support andengagement. The findings offer conceptual and empirical insights foreducational policy and practice in both national and comparative contexts.

Thesis is embargoed until 31 July 2030.
</dc:description>
