<dc:description>
The data and analysis code underlying the study "Strong top-down control in terrestrial food-web interactions".

Data S1. GTMT Database. A global database of terrestrial consumer-removal experiments compiled from 643 publications covering 739 sites in 57 countries. It contains 1,582 community-level observations of predator and herbivore removals in forest and grassland ecosystems, each with the log response ratio effect size (yi) and its sampling variance (vi) for abundance, biomass, or diversity responses of producers, herbivores, and predators, together with site geography (coordinates, country, ecosystem, climate zone), climate (MAT, MAP), experimental design (duration, plot size, removal method), and the functional traits of the removed consumers (metabolic type, movement mode, management status). A NOTE sheet defines all columns.

Code. An R script that reproduces all main-text and supplementary figures and tables directly from Data S1, including multilevel meta-analytic models with nested random effects (publication/site), AICc-based model selection, consumer functional-type contrasts, environmental and experimental moderator analyses, Egger-type small-study sensitivity tests, and ecosystem-stratified estimates. To run, place the script in the same folder as the Data S1 file and execute it in R; figures and tables are written to the folders Main_revised and Sup_revised. Package versions are recorded in the sessionInfo output.
</dc:description>
