A multiscale geospatial dataset of nighttime activity and heat exposure for Chinese listed firms Changgao Cheng (23753745) Human impacts of climate change and human adaptation Labour economics Nighttime Lights Satellite Imagery heat exposure time Firm-level activity overtime working hours Geospatial datasets <p dir="ltr">We describe a multiscale geospatial dataset linking firm-level nighttime activity, daytime heat exposure and warm-season nighttime microclimate for Chinese listed firms from 2012 to 2019. Annual firm locations are used as spatial anchors to align daily VIIRS Black Marble nighttime-light observations, hourly ERA5-Land meteorological fields, a 1 km daily land-surface-temperature product, and official workday and holiday calendars. The core firm-day panel provides overtime-related nighttime activity indicators, daytime heat metrics, next-night minimum temperature, hot-night indicators, diurnal temperature range and quality-control flags. The daily records are further aggregated into firm-month and firm-year panels and released as three complementary annual point-layer products: anchor coverage and quality control, annual nighttime activity intensity, and warm-season mechanism variables.
