<dc:description>
These datasets support a study investigating the effects of different mowing management regimes on ground-dwelling arthropod diversity and abundance in a Japanese Satoyama secondary forest. The database consists of two primary files: (1) Maindata.csv, which includes experimental design information, mowing management regimes, environmental covariates, and calculated community indices for both arthropods and plants (vegetation data was collected in 2024); and (2) Arthropodspecies.csv, which provides raw abundance counts for 25 dominant arthropod species collected during fieldwork, notably highlighting the dominance of Armadillidium vulgare. Together, these data reveal the potential for biodiversity conservation through differentiated mowing management in semi-natural ecosystems.
</dc:description>
