Participants were untreated adults spanning a broad continuum of self-reported depressive symptom severity, including individuals with moderate-to-severe symptoms. Participants completed the Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) and the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) on the same day as EEG acquisition.</p><p dir="ltr">The EEG recordings are provided as CSV files organized by participant and session, together with participant-level metadata (`participants.tsv` and `participants.json`) and MATLAB/PowerShell code for loading and segmenting recordings, continuous wavelet transformation, phase-resetting event detection, and PRRM feature computation.</p><p dir="ltr">This dataset and signal-processing code support the findings reported in the article “Distributed EEG phase-resetting dynamics predict depressive symptom severity in untreated adults,” which is forthcoming. The article DOI will be added to the Related Materials section when the article is published.</p><p dir="ltr">The PRR and PRRM framework is the subject of patent applications. The licence assigned to this Figshare record applies to copyright in the released materials and does not grant rights under pending or granted patents.
