At the NIHR ARC North Thames, we regularly held patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) activities with our Research Advisory Panel (RAP) to facilitate collaboration in research between research professionals and people with relevant lived experience of health conditions or contexts around health, such as housing. We often sought feedback from researchers following PPIE activities on how to improve them. We compiled the feedback to create this guidance document which can help researchers and professionals in different contexts to hold meaningful and effective PPIE.
