<dc:description>
This is a 6 min 19 sec documentary which shows a paper-making process in the print room at Loughborough University. It captures my thoughts while making paper in the early days of this research. Using Bracha L. Ettinger's Matrixial Borderspace as a critical-thinking framework, the research explored how Ulysses by James Joyce could encounter the Matrixial Borderspace through Molly Bloom's episode. In this video, I was talking about Molly's Episode and seeing it rather than reading it. I had shredded Molly's episode, and at this time, I was not sure what I was going to do or how to contextualise it. This video shows how I was exploring the visual language of merging edges and borderspaces, using my iPhone like a sketch pad and a mirror all at once, and including the edges of my own body. It was a useful starting point, but I abandoned the paper sheets I made, which initially I thought I might have taken it into etching, printing or drawing. However, having made this film, like a sketch, it no longer felt useful as a research method and I ended up taking it into the Sodabreadbookobject instead. See (Vol I, Ch. 3.3) and (Vol II, Portfolio 10, Fig. 93)

© the author

</dc:description>
