<dc:description>
This dataset contains functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) signals recorded during hand-gripping tasks. Data were collected from 20 healthy participants using the NIRSport2 system (NIRx Medical Technologies, Germany) at a sampling frequency of 10.1725 Hz. Each subject's data acquisition lasted 360 seconds and included 10 repeated hand-gripping movements of the right hand under controlled conditions.

The dataset includes:

· Raw data: Original .nirs files for each participant.

· Metadata: Participant details, task timing, and channel configuration.

The goal is to support research in neuroimaging, brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), and motor function analysis.

fNIRS signals were recorded from participants performing hand-gripping tasks under controlled experimental conditions.

Multiple channels covering motor-related cortical areas were used to capture changes in oxygenated and deoxygenated hemoglobin.

Raw data is provided along with detailed metadata including participant information, task timings, and channel configuration.

How to Cite

Researchers using this dataset are encouraged to cite the associated publication:

Akhter, J., Nazeer, H., & Naseer, N. Detailed information regarding the dataset, experimental paradigm, data acquisition procedure, preprocessing, and experimental protocol is provided in the associated publication.

Citing the associated publication helps acknowledge the researchers who collected, processed, and curated the dataset and supports the continued use and development of this resource for fNIRS and brain–computer interface research.

</dc:description>
