<dc:description><p dir="ltr">Flat mounted whole urethra and rhabdosphincter from an adult C57Bl/6 female mouse, perfused intracardially with a DY649 conjugate of Tomato lectin immunostained for vascular markers PECAM1 and PODXL and viewed with confocal microscopy (Zeiss LSM900, Carl Zeiss Microscopy). Image of the thickness of urethral wall, including the lamina propria and surrounding smooth muscle layers. Capillaries of the lamina propria are labelled with lectin and is connected to a collecting venule which drains into the large sheet like sinusoids. This connection is traced using a red arrowhead.</p></dc:description>
