These scripts load the corresponding datasets and reproduce the results and figures presented in the manuscript.</li><li><b>Raw variables folder:</b><br>Includes the compiled biological and ecological traits for each species. The variables comprise:</li><li><ul><li>Maximum body size (<b>Tmax</b>)</li><li>Age at first maturity (<b>AOM</b>)</li><li>Generation time (<b>GT</b>)</li><li>Growth rate (<b>K</b>, from the von Bertalanffy equation)</li><li>Population growth rate (<b>RM</b>)</li><li>Natural mortality rate (<b>M</b>)</li><li>Geographical range (latitude and longitude limits)</li><li>Bathymetric range (minimum and maximum depth)</li><li>Parameters <b>a</b> and <b>b</b> of the weight–length relationship (von Bertalanffy relation)</li><li>Biomass consumption rate (<b>Q/B</b>)</li><li>Trophic level</li></ul></li><li><b>Abundance folder:</b><br>Contains field sampling data (abundance per species) stored in a CSV file.
