<dc:description><p dir="ltr">Cleared lower urinary tract from an adult C57Bl/6 male mouse, perfused intracardially with a DY649 conjugate of Tomato lectin immunostained for vascular markers PECAM1 and PODXL and viewed with light sheet microscopy (Ultramicroscope II, Miltenyi Biotec, Germany). Image of the junction between the pelvic urethra and penile body. In this region of the pelvic urethra, the rhabdosphincter is thinner, allowing for better visualization of the internal structures. The connection of the sinusoids within the lamina propria of the male urethra can be traced, draining out via a venule into a large vein external to the rhabdosphincter, demonstrated by the lack of lectin labeling within the vessel. This pathway is indicated by an asterisk and an outline of the connected empty structures.</p></dc:description>
