<dc:description><p dir="ltr">The datasets underpinned an MEd study titled "Life Sciences teachers’ use of talk moves to provide opportunities for meaning-making." Life sciences lesson and teacher interviews. Lesson recordings for Grade 11 Life Sciences term 3 topics of population ecology were taken and transcribed. Stimulated recall interviews for the teachers were also transcribed. The Gauteng Department of Education approved data collection in the classroom. Using a qualitative multiple case-study design, three teachers were sampled as participants. The teaching transcripts were analysed using analysing talk moves, teacher discursive moves, and analysing student talk frameworks. The stimulated recall interviews were analysed using both narrative analysis and analysis of narratives.</p></dc:description>
