<dc:description><p dir="ltr">This study examined the experiences of social workers in serving this vulnerable population, the barriers they encounter, and their recommendations for enhancing service delivery. Drawing upon a human rights-based approach, this qualitative research employed semi-structured interviews with eight social workers in Tshwane, Gauteng Province, to gather in-depth perspectives on the challenges and successes in supporting unaccompanied refugee children. Purposive and snowball sampling were used to identify participants; thereafter, face-to-face interviews were conducted and recorded using a voice recorder. Data was analysed using thematic analysis.</p></dc:description>
