            <description descriptionType="Abstract"><![CDATA[<p dir="ltr">Principles for Citizen Science at UCL aim to guide best practice in citizen science, focussing on citizen scientists, communication, and data quality in citizen science projects. The principles are based on <a href="https://www.ucl.ac.uk/library/open-science-research-support/open-science/citizen-science/defining-citizen-science" target="_blank">UCL's definition of citizen science</a> (which encompasses diverse activities and practices) and have evolved from <a href="https://www.ecsa.ngo/10-principles/" target="_blank">ECSA’s Ten Principles of Citizen Science</a>.</p><p dir="ltr">These principles provide a framework that ensures the ethical, inclusive, and impactful execution of citizen science projects at UCL. They aim to guide project leads, citizen scientists and other collaborators in creating meaningful contributions to research, whilst at the same time promoting excellence in citizen science at UCL.</p>]]></description>
