<dc:description><p dir="ltr">Data was generated from three different schools, and the participants included preschool teachers and Grade R students. The teacher was interviewed through Zoom as well as observed as they presented an art lesson. The students formed part of the observation lessons and were therefore the secondary participants. After the observation lesson, the teacher was asked to form part of a collaborative discussion to discuss the positive and negative aspects of the lessons they presented. The qualitative study used the interpretivist paradigm and a multiple case study methodology to answer the research questions. For the art lessons, the teachers were asked to read a book about making mistakes and how these mistakes could be turned into something beautiful despite the mistake. The researcher provided the students with papers that had marks on as well as a variety of art materials. The teacher encouraged the students through the lesson to make something beautiful on the papers even though they had marks on or tears. The students exhibited their creative thinking and problem-solving skills through making plans to create something beautiful.</p></dc:description>
